Our furbaby!
I love my cat Bella to death and I wanted to include her in the wedding somehow. One hot day in July, I brought her outside for a photo shoot. She had to wear a lei, and she was not happy about it! I finally got a decent shot of her when she was hiding from me in the bushes, and my friends and family absolutely loved the stamp that I created out of them using Zazzle.
Will You....Be My Bridesmaid?
We left to go on a cruise 4 days after our return from getting engaged in Vegas, so I panicked a little because I had so many wedding things I felt like I had to do right away!
I stayed up really late the night after we got home creating these "Will You Be My Bridesmaid" cards because I saw them on Etsy, and thought they were darling! I added the Zebra ribbon at the last minute, and love them even more now.
They looked easier to make than they actually were. I bought the ribbon and paper on seperate shopping trips and they didn't match so I had to go back. Then the skirt part of the dresses were the hardest part...the creases never looked just right.
Here are a few close ups, please ignore the awful handwriting!! I ended up gluing tiny straps to all of them right before I mailed them, like the last one pictured!

Save the Date Boarding Passes
This project was more trouble than I had imagined...but when they were done, and my guests received them I got sooo many compliments. Everyone thought I ordered them. The hard work definitely paid off! I used 110 lb cardstock from Staples, a perforator, cutting board with blade and scorer and designed the template in Word.
Pomander Balls
I found a picture one day of a ocean-side ceremony where they had decorated the aisle with Sheperd Hooks and pomander balls. It was gorgeous, so I asked my florist if we would be able to have those in our wedding. She quoted me $130 PER POMANDER. I need six, so there's no way that was going to work with my tiny flower budget.
I decided to attempt doing them myself. I went to Michaels and found white silk roses...they were two different sizes and I had to buy all off them because they didn't have very many. I also 5 inch foam balls, glue sticks, bought wire, sheer fuschia ribbon and some jewel pendant Christmas ornaments.
I started by wrapping the wire around the foam ball in the middle. Then I did it again in the other direction so that the ball was split into four sections. I tied the ribbon to the wire at the top part of the ball, and the jewel pendant to the bottom part of the ball. I seperated the flowers from the stems, then used my hot glue gun (low temperature) to dab hot glue on the ends of the small green part still left on the flower. I pressed it into the ball and held it there for about 30 seconds.

I filled in the entire ball, alternating sizes. I kept the flowers close together so none of the wire or foam showed through. When it was done, I hung it up and stepped back- it looked real! I am very happy with how the first one turned out, I think they will make a beautiful aisle decoration. Now my only problem is finding enough white roses to finish the rest! My total cost per ball was about $45.
